Colour Accuracy & What to Expect

We take colour accuracy seriously. Our printing process is calibrated to reproduce your specified colour as faithfully as possible on the HTV substrate. However, it's worth noting that printed colours can vary slightly depending on the fabric colour and texture — pressing onto a white base will give the truest colour result, while darker fabrics may affect the final appearance. Our digital swatch approval process is designed to give you a realistic preview before committing to print.

For the most accurate results, we recommend providing a CMYK value rather than RGB or HEX, as CMYK is the native colour space for print production.

Important Notes

• Production time is 48–72 hours from swatch approval to collection or shipping.
• This HTV is printed on one side only — it is not a double-sided printed colour vinyl.
• We do not print solid black (#000000) or white (#FFFFFF). For these colours, we recommend purchasing from our standard HTV range for the best results.
• Your order will not be printed until colour swatch approval is received — please check your email promptly after ordering.

Cutting & Application Tips

Getting the best results from your custom printed heat transfer vinyl is easy when you follow a few simple steps:

• Cutting: Always cut with the liner side down (printed side up). Use a sharp blade and run a test cut before committing to your full design. Our HTV cuts cleanly on most leading cutting machines including Cricut & Silhouette.
• Weeding: Weed away the excess vinyl, leaving only your design on the liner. Use a weeding tool for intricate designs and work in good lighting.
• Apply Heat transfer tape over your design.
• Pressing: Pre-press your garment for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. Apply your design with firm, even pressure at the recommended temperature for your fabric type (155°C for cotton). Press for 15 seconds, then peel the liner while hot.
• Washing: Wait 24-48 hours before washing. Turn garments inside out and wash on a gentle, cool cycle to extend the life of your pressed design. Do not use fabric softener.
• Storage: Store unused HTV rolled (not folded) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain print quality and adhesive performance.
